Is the OneCast app worth getting on an iPhone 7? I tried using the streaming from my laptop but that is too laggy for me. I have good internet but I’m wondering if the iPhone 7 is capable of handling the games. OneCast Xbox Game Streaming now on AppleTV If you don't know what OneCast is it's an iOS/Android app that lets you stream your XBox One to your phone/tablet over WiFi. It works well and is really nice to be able to play XBox away from the TV it's connected to.
I am experiencing regular video freezing when streaming
Some Android devices (notably the Samsung Galaxy S series) are affected by a network performance issue when using 2.4GHz WiFi networks. With such devices, if you are connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network then you may experience intermittent freezing of video during streaming (say freezing for 0.5 seconds, every few seconds). In order to mitigate this issue you have two options: the first is, simply connect to a 5GHz WiFi network instead of 2.4GHz. The second option is to place your Android device into flight mode, then re-enable WiFi (with flight mode still enabled) before you begin streaming.
Which features are currently not supported by OneCast?
The following features are currently not supported by OneCast for iOS:
- Microphone for voice and in-game chat

What are the system requirements?
In order to use OneCast for Android, you must have:
- An Android device running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher
- Xbox One console (Xbox 360 or other consoles are not supported)
- A home network (generally provided by a router etc), to which both your Android device and Xbox One are connected
Is it possible to connect to my Xbox One when I'm away from home?
Unfortunately with the release of the 10.0.17763.4088 OS update for the Xbox One, playing over the internet with OneCast is no longer possible.

The X button on my controller is not working
Unfortunately there is an issue with the Xbox Controller USB driver that OneCast is using, that prevents the X button from working correctly with newer Xbox One wireless controllers connected via USB. Please note that this only affects newer controllers bundled with Xbox One S/Xbox One X (controller model 1708). Older controllers are not affected.
You can easily resolve this issue by either connecting the controller to your Mac via Bluetooth rather than USB, or connecting the controller directly to your Xbox console. Please see here for details of how to connect the controller via Bluetooth.
We are currently working on a fix and hope to have it resolved soon so that you may use these controllers via USB connection.

- Microphone for voice and in-game chat
- Vibration feedback for controllers connected to your Mac (vibration is supported if your controller is connected directly to your Xbox One console)

Xbox One owners have been able to stream their games to PCs running Windows 10 since 2015, but Mac compatibility has been notably, and expectedly, lacking. A new app, OneCast, promises to deliver the same game streaming experience to macOS for a mere $10.
OneCast claims to be the world's first Xbox One game streaming client for macOS, offering Mac owners a taste of what Windows 10 users have had access to for some three years.
Previously, no company offered a solution for native streaming to Mac, meaning users had to rely on clunky workarounds like installing Windows 10 via Boot Camp or Parallels. Cleanmymac x 4 4 5 tnt zip. These stopgaps were often buggy and failed to perform well enough to handle fast-paced games.
OneCast promises 1080p video throughput, 'extremely low lag' and support for either full-screen or windowed viewing modes. An Xbox wireless controller can be connected to the Mac via USB or Bluetooth after a firmware install, and the app supports multiple Xbox user profiles, making it simple to use different Xbox One consoles or gamertags.

In addition to streaming from an Xbox One to a Mac sharing the same wireless network, OneCast supports remote connectivity features that let users play games from anywhere with an internet connection. The company notes play anywhere functionality requires manual configuration of a network router, specifically port forwarding settings.
Why it took so long for a third-party firm to arrive at a Mac streaming solution remains unknown, but OneCast in a statement to The Verge said it conducted a 'clean room reverse engineering' of the Xbox One game streaming system to create its eponymous app. The software utilizes the same protocol used by Microsoft's official Windows client, meaning Mac owners can expect performance on par with a Windows 10 system.
OneCast is currently available as a two-week free trial, while the app is priced at $9.99 for a limited time. On April 1, regular pricing of $20 will go into effect.
