The rumor started in June 2020 when India banned Fortnite.India also banned the apps: TikTok,WhatsApp, Snapchat, etc. India considered banning ALL Chinese-based apps, because India had found many apps collecting important data from people using the Chinese apps. The company Epic Games heard about the India situation a few weeks ago. Epic Games decided they will temporarily shut down the popular game Fortnite.
Epic Games found out that there were many people cheating the system on the game. “We will shut down Fortnite and some of our other games this year.We will shut down Fortnite in August 2020.Then, we will shut down some other games in Fall 2020.” Epic Games said. Many more rumors created when people found out Fortnite is shutting down. Epic Games responded saying, ” Yes. We will shut down Fortnite.But we will open Fortnite back up in December 2020.We need to fix some problems we have had.”
Many gamers were very upset at this situation.Many even decided to never play Fortnite again.
